--eriously? If I have to see that room and walk out that door one more time I think I'm gonna go crazy. What was even the point of sending me back...?

[It's still daylight out when Katara makes this post to the PGC. "Mom's" front door behind her as she heads away from the building. She addresses the gear much more politely.]

Hi, my name is Katara. If you know or remember me and you're here in New Bark Town, meet me by the town's exit. I know I'm not the only one that just showed up here, and I've already met one person from home.

The offer goes for anyone that's new here that might want some help figuring things out, too, even if we haven't met yet.

[Nope. Winry stops before she takes a look at the screen. What if it's not her? There could be some other Katara, who just happens to have the same voice too and you know, maybe she's wrong about the voice (like hell she'd ever be, but...) or maybe she's dreaming the whole thing somehow. She wouldn't be too surprised by such dream.

But, how is she going to find out if she doesn't see her with her own eyes?]

[...Just a sec. Winry is trying to believe her eyes here.]

[...and she's kind of just staring at first. Pinching herself. She's awake? Maybe?]

[Nope, not dreaming, which just means that... She's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!]

[Okay, let's try to say something here, shall we? YES! She'll save you from the usual Call before you arrive - yelling, because reasons.]

[...Okay, fair warning? This girl is about to cry.]

[Nope, can't stop them. She thought she'd never see you again.]

[It just means that she's the happiest girl ever to see you?]

very surprised and VERY happy

to hear that voice, but as she hits reply to initiate the conversation Winry's tears take her by surprise and give her pause.

For a moment she looks really guilty, because for her no time has really passed since she went home and came back, and from when she was here last and saw Winry and now.]

Winry...

[A quiet sigh, shutting her eyes for a moment. She's glad. If nothing else at least this place has always allowed her to remember the people who mattered.

She smiles then.]

Sorry... but thank you... [Ugh now she's crying too. Tears of joy, though. TEARS OF JOY. ALL MY JOY.] I'm happy to see you again, too.

[No. No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No, DON'T YOU DARE TO START CRYING TOO.]

[...Well, let's just both cry happy tears then, because you're special, sis. THAT'S OKAY. Give her a moment.]

[She shakes her head because Katara said sorry.] Not your fault.

I'm glad you remember again, and I'm happy to see you again too. Sorry, I'm all the way in Ecruteak, so seeing you in person might take a while.

We'll figure it out. We'll just have to call every day until then. [And she WILL call every day because awww yis, Johto!sis.]

Sounds like the best plan ever. [Oh, she WILL call every day too, because she missed you so much that she can't even put it into words.]

Me? Busy beating gym leaders, even though I wouldn't have to beat them as a breeder. But I want to be independent, so I'll just win the ones that give the things I want. I got Fly and Surf! [Excited Winry looks excited.] Actually, two Flies, I could send one to you or anyone else who needs that HM.

Training, traveling, more training... The usual, except not much breeding. Umm, and lately keeping company to friends whose friends went home.

Oh, and there was a convention for breeders in Goldenrod, that was fun!

[Katara's already gone through her stuff back inside the house, but she was surprised to notice something.]

Really? I'm sorry I missed all that. The war is over back home so I guess we won't really be traveling around anymore, I'll kind of miss it. But hey, there's here. Right? Have you checked out Kanto yet?

[And she laughs a bit, finally drying her face with her hand.] Though now that I think about it I guess you've been busy enough without it.

It looks like I'm actually a breeder this time, too. I'm surprised. I've always been a trainer.

No, it's okay. It's not your fault and I'm glad things sound to be okay in your world. [Have a warm smile at that.] True, you can still travel here! And I've been in Saffron, just some weeks ago, but I didn't go anywhere else in Kanto before I rushes back to Johto.

[Oh hey, Winry will dry her face too, thanks for the reminder.] Hey, don't now. I got my other Fly from Saffron, just because I needed the money for traveling and everything else.

I'm surprised too, but that's great. Maybe we can mix and match our pokemon one day for breeding purposes.

Oh hey, speaking of your Pokémon~!! [She's kind of sorry for rambling so much on every reply, but not really.] I've got three of your precious babies with me, I guess you want them back?

Still, sounds like it was fun. [Ramble away girl, she doesn't mind at all.] I'm not sure where we'll start to be honest. I've been all over almost all of Johto by now, except I never did get that very last badge...

[A pause, wait-] They give out the same prizes in Kanto? Really? That's great! That should make deciding a lot easier.

You're sure you wouldn't mind? Because I wouldn't say no to having a Fly HM handy. It looks like I lost all my stuff again, coming back.

[And she laughs here--]

We've already got some practice with that, huh? [Nari and Aurum, remember?]

Really? [She didn't want to ask, she never wants to ask, maybe afraid of being a little disappointed, for one, and not wanting to ask people to part with Pokemon they might have bonded with, for two.]

Winry, you're the best. Who did you get?

I kind of made Saffron's gym leader angry by beating her with a level 100 Poochyena... But it was fun! [Okay, she'll just keep talking then!] You could go to Kanto and tell me how it is. I have another friend there too, but the more the merrier and the more experiences I get to hear, right?

[Or she could play catch up with you and travel with you around Kanto.] Nope, I wouldn't mind at all, because I don't need two. Except quite many might get Fly as an egg move, so you'd just need to train them and you wouldn't exactly need the HM, but... If you want it, I can send it to you.

I don't know much about what you get from beating gyms in Kanto, but at least the HMs are probably the same.

[She laughs.] Yes, yes we did. I should start making more money with my roster.

I got Jet, Carla and Arnook. They've been great, but of course I will gladly send them back to you.

[She has to laugh at that. Winry, WINRY. You are awesome.] It sounds like it. I'm just sorry I missed it. I'll be sure to tell you all about it, and send you photos. How's that?

[She would love this, she should do it!] That would be really great, thank you! That way if I need to get back to New Bark town, or anywhere else in a hurry I won't have to tire Jet out running all over the place. And thank you so much for looking after them. I know they were in great hands.
