I know it's kind of a silly question, but I'm curious. Would you still celebrate a birthday if you arrived here just a little before it? For fun, or for real?

Everyone needs a break from training now and then, and Katara is putting this theory to good practice right now.

A Meowth on a surfboard.

Well that's... different...? Or, heck, maybe not, knowing this place. Yeah, probably not. Still, different or not there is definitely a Meowth on a surfboard. She's not alone, though, as her new trainer- Katara -is standing behind her more towards the middle-back end of the board as they ride the waves, cheering and laughing.

The other Pokemon currently in her party are relaxing on the back of her Lapras, who happens to be the one providing the waves using-- well --"Surf". There's Carla and Arnook, at least. Jet and Hikaru (her new Leafeon) are both resting on the shore guarding her possessions and keeping an eye on her eggs.]

I never would have guessed Meowths would be such big fans of water. Careful you don't go over the edge, Nikta.

[The Meowth doesn't seem to be listening, she's intent on getting as close to the front of the board as she possibly can. Feel free to join or approach once they reach the shore.]

That's the only one that doesn't sound like an actual name.

Well... I wasn't actually trying to name him that, so much as I might have mentioned his resemblance to one when he evolved into Croconaw. He refused to go by anything else after that.

A catgator. [LOL yep it's an actual thing. Don't mind her laughing.] They're native animals of the foggy swamp on my world, with whiskers and tail fins like a catfish, and the reptile body parts of a... well a Feraligatr.

I had the same reaction the first few times I heard about animals from other worlds.

No, they're not big fans. Pygmy leopards especially hate being wet, [She had to chase a few off in Ba Sing Sei once.]

... though I couldn't say if a cat owl would particularly mind or not, since I've only ever seen one.

And you didn't spray it with water. How irresponsible of you.

Not very. It would have to be attacking and I'd have to leave it to one of my water types, since my waterbending doesn't work here.

Waterbending. I can control water and its different forms for healing, fighting, or... well, just about anything. [She's heard it all types of things by now though.]

I know a couple people who use it for fighting. That's... really intriguing. Healing, I mean. I've of it cleaning or soothing wounds, but not healing.

There's really a lot that it can be used for, but that's mostly what I did with it back home. The healing I learned by accident. Besides cleaning and soothing wounds I can also actually heal burns and most wounds or illnesses.

That's pretty fascinating, I gotta say. Wish my friend could do that. We'd be pretty invincible.
