Hello everyone,
I'd like to let you all know about a special event coming up at the end of this month in Cherrygrove City. It's a fundraiser for Johto's and Kanto's first Welcome Center, and we'll be holding it on Saturday, September 28th, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.. There will be another next month in Kanto. I'll announce that one once we have more things finalized.
We have all sorts of great things planned! There will be food and drinks, a talent show, an egg raffle, and a lot of opportunities to buy and sell eggs as well as adopt new Pokemon for your teams.
[For the next part Katara switches to video, thinking it would be much easier to share the information she's about to give this way than typing it all out. Despite having never really done this type of event before she seems surprisingly collected rather than nervous. She offers a friendly smile and then gets to it.]
The Welcome Center will be providing free services for new arrivals and returning trainers who need help getting settled. It's a non-profit group, so we'll definitely be looking for volunteers. We could use some help getting together supplies and the money we'll need to renovate the boarding houses, too. Some of the other local businesses have already agreed to help out, and the foster home will be adopting out Pokemon at the fundraiser, too. It would be great if we could get homes for them.
[Now, on to the other stuff. She takes a brief pause before going on, gesturing behind her to where there's already a few bins of supplies.]
We'll be holding a food drive and we'd really appreciate it if anyone would like to come by and make donations. Besides canned food we could also use basic supplies and people who have experience with construction work, if anyone is willing to give their time. Just contact me if you have any questions about anything or if you'd like to volunteer.
