She refuses to evolve until she's mastered human speech because she wants to learn as much as she can about them and fears that evolution will change her pattern of speech too much. She is a very hard worker, but loves nothing more than to research and learn about humans, their lore, and anything that she doesn't know. She is also unafraid to jump right into new experiences and is overall amiable with other people and pokemon. Since being adopted Nikta has been encouraged to pursue her interests. Once Katara picked up on her interest in humans she began letting her out of her ball more often. She is now one of Katara’s most steadfast companions, along with Kishi, Carla, and Jet. She (willingly) wears a collar with an Everstone in the center, as a pendant, but is more interested in learning than training or fighting and even though she will fight when needed Katara doesn't force her to.
