It was pure coincidence that Katara managed to get both a male and female egg when she bought the pair, but they quickly proved to be inseparable after that. Rough and Tumble work well together when they aren't busy bickering (which they tend to do when Katara isn't giving orders in a battle). It's all in the name of being siblings, though. They've been that way ever since they first hatched. They butt heads because they're so similar. Neither of them are really the quiet type so they're constantly competing for top spot- play wrestling, racing, just competing against each other in general. Both more brawn than brain, they're brawlers. Tumble's one differing trait from Rough is that she doesn't like to sit idle. While he may be content to laze around when they aren't training Tumble has to be out doing something. She'll often try to boss her "twin" into getting up and exploring the area with her, or try to start a wrestling match. Like her brother, though, you don't want to be in her way when she goes on the offensive. Because of how close the two are with their varying move sets they're one of Katara's go to tag team pairs. »
